Is this you?
When you are using your clinical skills, you are in your zone of genius BUT when it comes to running your business, your genius is nowhere to be seen. It feels as if you are spending all your time figuring out how to run your business, spending time answering the phone, emails, answering questions on your Facebook page, trying to make sense of Twitter and LinkedIn (and wondering if you even need them) – and working past midnight yet again to write that report.
You might be earning reasonable money, but you feel like your finances are all over the place – one week you are cashed up, and the next week you find yourself trying three different cards at the cash register trying to figure out which account has the money. You end up using the business account, since it’s the only one you are sure of. The thought of facing your accountant at tax time makes your heart race.
You feel as if you are letting your family AND your clients down, and you worry that your professional reputation is being damaged.
You didn’t get into business to be this stressed and overwhelmed, and lets face it, you’ve thought more than once about looking for a job just so you can get your life back again.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Your private practice doesn’t have to suck the life out of you. Your business should nurture you AND your clients.
You can THRIVE in business.
